This Spring we completed a substantial Veranda addition and major interior renovation at the Hole-in-One Restaurant in Orleans. The owners, staff, and patrons were all very accomodating and understanding throughout the entire construction progress. Aline Archtictere of Orleans designed the addition and renovation.
This project was completed in a various stages. Stage one was to convert attic space above a garage into a spacious office for two. The next phase involved a complete gutting of the existing kitchen and dining area, bumping out a section of the foundation to allow for more square footage, and creating cathedral ceilings with exposed fir beams. A new master bedroom/bathroom suite was designed to accomodate the owners’ current needs and those of the future.
We replaced all of the existing windows in the home with Andersen 400 Series windows, the existing shingles with White Cedar Shingles Dipped in Bleaching Oil, and the existing roof shingles with CertainTeed 30 yr. Architectural Shingles. The existing screen porch was in need of repair and a new design. Bernadette of Ryder and Wylcox in Orleans drew the plans for the new screen porch. The homeowners were great to work with and they are very happy with their “new” home.
This project involved partitioning off a garage, building a floor system on top of an existing slab, installation of new windows, doors, and remodeling the existing space into a spacious loft with finished space below.
This is a large Mahogony deck with stainless steel cable railings and a new farmer’s porch we built in Chatham. We also installed a new Andersen Slider to allow access from the office, and remodeled other areas of the home as well. Design by Stephen Hart, Architect.
This is a home in Orleans that we renovated in the Spring of 2012. New Andersen windows, Koma Trim, Therma-Tru exterior doors, white cedar shingles, and an architectural shingle roof are included in the exterior renovations. New interior doors, casings, baseboards, kitchen cabinets, counter tops and refinished floors were part of the interior renovation.
This is an existing basement that we finished into a spacious recreation room with it’s own full bath and walkout entry.
This is a renovation we are completing of a home built nearly 100 years ago. The property is Sorbello Landscaping’s new office and shop.
Dear Paul, Doug and I would like to thank you for doing such a wonderful job on our addition this Spring. Over the four months of the project, you and your team demonstrated diligence, dedication and a real love for your work.Throughout each stage of the project, we felt very well informed of how things wer tracking both in terms of time and budget. We would not hesitate to refer Cape Dreams Building & Design to friends and neighbors looking for a contractor. Finally, I’d like to say how much our family enjoyed having you all around the house. The kids point to trucks they see around town and ask, “Is that Mr. Paul?” We look forward to working with you again in the future.
